The Best Travel Songs
Do you have one of those songs that, whenever or where ever you hear it, you’re instantly transported back to that epic road trip you had with your best friend right after graduation? You know, like that one that was playing right before you ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere and had to hitch hike with an old guy who had an eye patch and just happened to be listening to the exact same song at the exact same point when you both jumped into the back seat. Those are the best travel songs. It doesn’t matter what the words are, it doesn’t even matter if you know the words. You just have to hear those three little bars and suddenly the air smells like stale cigarettes and gas cans but you just can’t help but smile. Suddenly, even though you’re sitting in your cubicle with a deadline looming you just can’t resist pulling out your cell phone and giving your friend a call to see how his new glass eye is treating him.
