Being able to tell the difference between black mold and other types is not really a problem. It does not matter what sort of mold you are dealing with, all can cause damage to the home. Most people simply take care of whatever mold issues happen as they arise to keep their homes safer.

Spores from the dried mold can also be a respiratory problem, so take care of these carefully and do not scrape or scatter the mold. Sometimes, issues with breathing like asthma can make this a particularly dangerous undertaking, and you have to take that under advisement.
