Pool Fence Possibilities

Some pool owners are reluctant to install a pool safety fence around their pool. While those with children or pets are more likely to support the idea, those without sometimes find that it takes away from the fell they want for their pool area – that a fence is aesthetically unappealing. Unfortunately for those people, many states are now mandating that private pools as well as public ones are surrounded by a fence or barrier for safety reasons. If you are one of the homeowners that fears a fence with hurt the look of their yard, you should realize that today’s market offers more fencing options than ever before and that the right fence can be found for any yard.

One of the most common fence types is aluminum. Aluminum fences are so popular because they are durable and require very little maintenance. There are a number of styles and colors to choose from including coated aluminum fences that hold up better to rust than others.

Vinyl fencing is an option that has grown tremendously in popularity in recent years. These fences are usually bright white and as low maintenance as they get. They are also affordable fences that are proving to be durable as well.

If you are dead set against installing a permanent fence, consider a mesh pool fence. While mesh fencing may not be the most beautiful, it isn’t permanent either. Mesh fencing can be easily set up around the pool area and is a good option for those who do not normally have children or pets in the area.

If you find standard fencing to be a turn off because of its appearance, you may be interested in a glass pool fence. Be aware that glass fencing is neither cheap, nor maintenance-free, but it is beautiful! The glass will need to be cleaned periodically (large squeegees simplify the process) and the initial purchase price is higher than most, but glass fences are among the most attractive on the market.

Note that these are just some of the popular pool fencing options on the market. Be sure to research before you buy to find the best fence for your pool.
