My Old Cartoon Glasses

I was cleaning out my Mom’s attic after she died and was finding box after box of old stuff I had completely forgotten about. There were boxes of old birthday cards, toys I hadn’t seen since I was a little kid and even old cartoon glasses that I had begged for when they were on sale at McDonald’s or Burger King or some other restaurant when I was little.

I remember getting the glasses and I remember drinking from them, but I really don’t recall when they went away into storage. My Mom had individually wrapped each glass with newspaper and carefully placed them into cardboard boxes. Out of curiosity I looked them up on eBay. Some of them are actually worth about twenty dollars each. I think I’ll just hang on to them though. The memories are worth more than that right now.
