Hitachi DV18DL Hammer Drill Review
The 4.9-pound Hitachi DV18DL hammer drill weighs 50% less than a traditional NiCd drill, but the 18-volt lithium ion battery lasts three times longer than the other drill. It features a distinctive two-step speed switch, which allows you to select from four different speeds that range from 200 to 1,800 rpm.
Not only is it a hammer drill, it is a multi-speed power drill and a power screwdriver along with an adaptable slip clutch. The drill is equipped with 570in/lbs of torque, which allows it enough power to drill holes through concrete, brick, and many other rock hard surfaces effortlessly. All this power makes completing various projects easy.
The Hitachi DV18DL also features a carbon brush that is externally accessible for speedy and simple brush changes, a 5-position belt hook with an integrated work light, and an earth magnet motor. The drill comes in a carrying case that includes an auxiliary side handle, two lithium-ion batteries, a charger, and a screwdriver tip.
