Finding Your Online Business
The world economy is changing in ways that even the economists were not expecting just a few short years ago. We are currently in the worst economic times since the Great Depression and it doesn’t look like we will be pulling out anytime soon. In fact, for probably the first time ever, Europe and Asia are actually pulling out of the recession while the US is still marred in high unemployment and low consumer confidence.
Since World War II the US has been the engine that drove the world economy and that does not seem to be the case anymore. It used to be the businesses in the United States were world leaders but that is quickly changing. In fact there does not seem to be many bright spots for business opportunities anywhere except for one area. The internet is set to completely revolutionize business as we know it and the US is leading in that area.
We haven’t even begun to see how the web is going to change business. For example, it is now easy to reach a market of a few billion people. That is billion with a billion. Even thinking about that number of customers is mind boggling. If you find online business opportunities that meet the needs of even one tenth of one percent of those people you will be rich beyond your wildest dreams.
For example, I heard on the radio this morning that India has a market of about one billion people. Since half of them are men, this means a product targeted at Indian men will have an audience of 500 million people. This is more than in the entire US. If you develop an online business to cater to those men you can retire to some beach anywhere in the world you want to go. All you have to do is set up a web site and then find out ways to spend the money.
