Be Careful What You Touch If You Suffer From Facial Eczema

No matter how much you might think otherwise, you are probably touching your face hundreds of times each day. Each time you touch your face, the facial skin is coming into contact with everything you have touched that day. It is no wonder that it can cause eczema.

Eczema on face, neck, and eyelid skin is most often caused by contact with an allergen or irritant. These allergens and irritants break through your skin’s protective barrier. They aggravate the layers of skin, getting more invasive as it moves down each layer of skin. Finally, your skin has no choice but to react with eczema.

There are very good forms of eczema natural treatment. These will keep your skin healthy and strong, and help it heal more quickly when you do have eczema. However, none of these will be very effective if you cannot limit your face’s exposure to irritants and allergens. The best way to do this is to stop touching your face.

You already know that you touch germ covered surfaces all day long. Scientists believe that it is the leading cause for the spread of cold and flu germs. These same surfaces are covered with the eczema causing irritants and allergens.

Every time you shake someone’s hand who has just applied lotion or hand sanitizer, you may be touching an irritant. If the cleaning lady has just wiped down your computer and phone area, you are probably touching an irritant. The toner from your printer or copier can be an irritant. If you are handling spicy food, it is likely that is an allergen. When you wipe the dust off a book, those are irritants.

As you can see, it can be easier than you think to get an irritant or allergen on your hands. Before you know it, you will have touched your face and caused eczema. If you want to reduce or even eliminate your facial eczema, you need to start limiting how much you touch your face.
