Reading Magazines
One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is read magazines. I know, it might sound strange to be so specific but I have always found the magazine to be my absolute favorite medium for the written word. Containing just the right amount of information to be informative and entertaining without being over wordy or preachy, the magazine is truly a work of art. I truly love any magazine and the topics can vary: one day I might be reading about the Boston Red Sox in a Sports illustrated or following the view over the pond in the Weekly Standard; the next it might be some guitar articles in the Rolling Stone or perhaps a study on Neanderthal man in Discover. Regardless of the topic or title, a magazine is almost always the perfect distraction and I look forward to comfortable couch and the slick familiar pages of a magazine as I pine away at work or find myself bored and looking for something to do on Saturday or Sunday.
